Lata Sharma Graduate Award in Agriculture

Purpose: This scholarship is provided to enhance societal knowledge & practices for preserving our environment & mitigate climate change. The scholarship is to be awarded to a student who demonstrates outstanding academic achievement & research excellence for graduate studies with a focus on a holistic approach to regenerative agriculture and/or soil health sciences.

Eligibility: Open to continuing graduate students whose graduate programs have a focus on soil health and/or regenerative agriculture.
Applicants must be a:
• Master’s student (thesis or project-based) within the first 24 months of their program.
or
• PhD student within the first 48 months of their program.

Priority given to students pursuing an MSc (thesis-based) or PhD on soil health and/or regenerative agriculture.

GPA: 80% minimum.

Selection Criteria: Applicants must submit a reference letter from their research supervisor (maximum one page in length) attesting to the impact of their research.
Applicants must provide evidence of research productivity in the form of at least one refereed publication or conference presentation.

Applicants will be asked to answer the supplemental questions which are listed below. Please note that when a reference’s name and email are entered, the system will generate an email to that reference. The reference will be provided with instructions on how to complete their section. Applicants are responsible for ensuring references complete their section by the deadline. Any reference sections submitted after the deadline will not be considered, and that applicant will be deemed ineligible.
