COGECO Graduate Communications Scholarship
Purpose: To support graduate students whose research is related to virtually any area of media communications, such as, but not limited to, the sociology of mass media, regulatory economics, educational applications of broadcast technology, and advanced telecommunications engineering
Eligibility: Open to Master’s thesis and PhD students’ research and past accomplishments as they relate to the broadcast and communications field
Selection Criteria
• Relevance of current research in media communications and the design, development, application, administration, or distribution of broadcasting and communications technology
• Applicants must provide a letter indicating why they feel they are qualified and describe their current research and past accomplishments as they relate to the broadcast and communications field
• Applicants should include two letters of reference from individuals who can comment on their work and research potential
• 80% GPA or above

- Research Proposal: include the approved topic of the thesis or project, description of the research (in terms that are easily understood by a non-technical reader), research methodology, objectives, motivation for embarking on research, and professional goals upon completion of the work.
