Samit & Reshma Sharma Graduate Award in Water Security
Purpose: To enhance societal knowledge & practices for preserving our environment & mitigating climate change. To be awarded annually to a graduate student who demonstrates outstanding academic achievement & research excellence in the area of holistic approaches to environmental health sciences and/or water security.
Eligibility: Open to continuing Master’s students (thesis or project-based) within the first 24 months of their program, or PhD students within the first 48 months of their program
Selection Criteria: Students must be pursuing an MSc (thesis-based) or PhD with a research focus related to environmental health sciences and/or water security, and be an active student member of the Global Institute of Water Security (GIWS)
Applicants must submit a reference letter from their research supervisor (maximum one page in length) attesting to the impact of their research
80% GPA or above
