Samit & Reshma Sharma Graduate Award in Water Security

This scholarship provides support to student who demonstrates outstanding academic achievement and research excellence in the area of holistic approaches to environmental health sciences and/or water security. Selection will be based on academic achievement and research excellence, as determined by the awards committee. Students who have not yet started their graduate program at the time of application will not be considered.

Open to continuing graduate students. To be eligible, applicants must be a:
• Master’s student (thesis or project-based) within the first 24 months of their program
or
• PhD student within the first 48 months of their program

Students must be pursuing a graduate degree with a research focus related to environmental health sciences and/or water security and be an active student member of Global Institute of Water Security (GIWS).

The letter of reference from the supervisor must attest to the impact of the student’s research.
